Central Oregon celebrates Winter Pridefest as a demonstration of our community’s commitment to an inclusive environment where all are welcome. Similar to the more traditional June Pride events, Winter Pridefest recognizes and commemorates the LGBTQ+ activism embodied during the Stonewall Riots on June 1969. Without the sacrifices made during this early protest, particularly those sacrifices made by the Trans and BIPOC communities of New York City, the progress accomplished over the past 54 years would not have been possible.
Have fun during Winter Pridefest but also ensure we reflect on those who have allowed our community to exist and flourish.
